The Easiest Fix - Personally Owned Routers
Once a wireless router is configured for use at your location your home network should simply function.
Regardless of the make and model of your home router, these steps should aid you in getting it back up and running. (Provided, the Factory Reset button was not pushed.) You should NOT push the Factory Reset button on your router unless you are personally familiar with setting it up again from scratch OR under the specific direction of a qualified network technician.
STEP 1. Remove the thin power cord from the back of your wireless router and leave unplugged for a period of 60-seconds.
STEP 2. Return the power connector to your wireless router and wait about 60-seconds for the unit to fully boot up.
STEP 3. Reboot your personal computing devices after the wireless router has fully booted up.
STEP 4. Attempt to access the internet from your personal computing devices.
